Overall Size: 32 Acre Site, 195,000 sq.ft. under roof
Facility Description: This is a 195,000 square foot two-story office and lab connected to the manufacturing facility. The office portion was framed using bar joists and steel beams with some of the lower roof areas designed for future office loading. The office and lab structure was designed as separate structures to separate the two environments for fire and comfort reasons. The manufacturing areas had some elevated areas with large moving loads due to mechanical or material handling requirements. The exterior office and lab areas were enclosed using insulated pre-cast architectural concrete panels. This structure is an interesting blend of dealing with specialized manufacturing loading due to mechanical equipment and process equipment, combined with an office environment. Owner: Jabil Circuit

Overall Size: 63,000 SF corporate office
Facility Description: Located adjacent to a quiet pond and adjacent to an electronic board manufacturing facility required some creative thinking during the creation of structural systems. The client chose a ribbon window facade with a large glass enclosed central lobby core. The structure has a composite steel floor system to provide additional floor loading capacity in heavy file areas and allows the flexibility for future changes in use. The narrow building footprint combined with the adjacent pond that prevented building access from the rear required careful thought in the creation of steel framing details and member selection.
